The ability to communicate clearly and effectively about issues in written and verbal forms for different purposes and to a variety of audiences.

GETS’ assessment strategy provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the subject in a number of diverse ways. Units may also involve group work whereby students develop their verbal communication skills through in-class discussions in small groups and larger class-wide debates, thereby building up their confidence and skills in terms of communicating to a wider group. This approach encourages students to sharpen important communication and presentation skills in a variety of formats. In their studies, learners will be able to progressively develop written and verbal communication skills and get feedback on their progress. Every unit/module involves some form of written work as well as more traditional essays and this may involve, inter alia, literature reviews and case studies.
